(http://www.ryanlebar.com/bio.cfm) I'm from the Northern part of Canada - a small town called Thunder Bay. It has a population of about 120,000 and, unlike me, is very cold during the winter. I moved from Thunder Bay and set off on a most amazing journey. I ended up in Ottawa for a few months; then moved to Toronto in the Year 2000 and times were very hard on me at first.
Moving to such a big city as Toronto - seemed like a billion times bigger than what I had ever seen before is scary enough but arriving here and not knowing a single person was terrifying.
I did what was necessary to stay off the streets and make a living doing things that later I realized was not really the right thing to do. I never knew there was such thing as a Modeling career and getting paid to look good.
However, with all of the money that some models receive, there is a HIGH price to go with it. Many Models, Directors, Producers and Photographers are quite willing to sell there soul for even a small amount of money. Not me!
To be a great Model/Actor you need to be true to yourself. You cannot think that you will only get a big movie deal if you put out or land a big campaign if you let people take advantage of you. Yes, at one point in my career I really wanted to be a successful model but after a recent trip to South Beach my eyes were opened to the lifestyle they live and what is expected of these models to obtain work.
I am working on my early life story called Le Bar Diaries with author Ronald Cree. I am also working with Angelika Films in NYC on the film project.
Since my very first time on HandsomeMaleModels.com I have done a lot. I have been on numerous TV shows as Filthy Gorgeous; Canada's Next Top Cover Guy; Crystal Light Talk Show and Cinderella Man,
Further, I was the first model ever to win two times in a row on Handsome Male Models.. I have modeled for Hibebe Fashion, Rock & Republik, Energie, Diesel, AHF, Blue, Re-Fresh Mag, Got-Style Clothing, and Sobe Soft Drinks.
Acting is still my passion but the release of my new book and the start of my own Management Company to help models like me get ahead has kept me very busy. I also started my own Marketing/Design Company. As well as I continue to work on Ads/Brochure Designs/Catalogs/Posters etc. And now, I have my very own website with Photo shoots, Videos and much more.
